NYPD Arrest Musician For Singing In Subway

Seeing a musician performing in subway stations is a common sight in New York City. But apparently, one New York City cop had never seen a musician in the subway before, because he asked guitarist Andrew Kalleen to leave the station or he would arrest him. Andrew even had the officer read the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s rules of conduct aloud which clearly states artists are permitted to play in the stations, but the cop arrested Andrew anyways.

Now, this clip has gone viral with over 350,000 hits!

New York Times Takes Second Graders To One Of New York’s Fanciest Restaurants

The New York Times has realized that you don’t go viral with traditional stories anymore, no matter how interesting or factual they are. So they studied a bit of New Media, and made this adorable story. Instead of taking a renown food critic to a restaurant for their magazine’s fall Food issue, they took a group of second graders. The children were treated to a meal at one of New York City’s most expensive and fancy restaurants, Daniel. The kids enjoyed a seven course meal that would usually cost each diner over $200.

People Of Times Square

Times Square has been the unofficial center of the world for decades now. It’s one of those instances when something is simply famous for being famous. What is there to do there? Not much. There are some stores, restaurants, and that’s about it. But what really makes it a special place is the people and the characters. Michael Tapp demonstrates this in his short documentary, People of Times Square
