This powerful video was published back in March, but has just surged in viewership now after being picked up by the blogsphere.

Popular sites like TheDailyWhat, HyperVocal, MostWatched, and 22Words all showcase the story published by  about Portland Trail Blazers rookie Meyers Leonard.

After his father passed when he was only six, Meyers only had his mom and his slightly older big bro to look up to for support and guidance.

Though only older by 22 months, Bailey even says that he felt like a father figure for Meyers while they were growing up.

Now that Bailey is a marine in Afghanistan, and Meyers is just about to start in NBA, they both have to stand up by themselves.

Meyers was obviously extremely worried about his big brother’s safety, so when Bailey surprise visited him from the Middle East during ball practice, Meyers was really shocked and let it all out.

The powerful story is further featured on ESPN and OregonLive

The Welcome Home Blog has again gone viral with their latest US service personal family reunion video submission. Mom who submitted the viral video says:

“When my husband left on his deployment, our 6-year-old son could not walk on his own. He has cerebral palsy. Doctors originally said that he would never walk or do much of anything. While daddy was away, he learned to walk. For his homecoming, we set it up for Michael to walk to his daddy for the first time ever! We kept the fact that he could walk a secret the whole time his dad was gone!”

Now the two day old video has already amassed over 650,000 hits, and is featured on YouTubeTrends, FoxNation, Neatorama, and DailyMail

The Holidays are supposed to be a time of happiness, warmth, and family, but for those who can’t make it home, it’s often takes a toll on the family cheer. It’s the hardest on a soldier away in Afghanistan and their family. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Robert Allen, deployed to Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan wrote this emotional and patriotic Christmas song, titled A Marine’s Christmas, to his wife to express his longing and love.
