Black Bear Smashes Kayak Despite Women Begging

Most people would either run or freeze if they were confronted alone by a black bear in the Alaskan wilderness. But not Mary Maley. Instead, she had an entire conversation with the bear asking if to please leave her alone and not to break her kayak. It seems the bear didn’t take too kindly to her because it decided to eat her boat anyways.

Giant Humpback Whale Almost Tail-Slaps Kayakers

Cimeron Morrissey was kayaking with her buddies, and boy is she glad she brought her camera along. While kayaking in Monterey Bay, a bus-sized humpback whale came up out of the water right next to her. The giant swimming mammal then swam under her small boat and performed a tail slap just feet away from her. Luckily, Cimeron wasn’t touched, and even more luckily, she caught the whole scene on camera

Kayakers Speed Down Drainage Ditch

Ordinary kayaking is too dull for Canadians Rush Sturges and his buddy Ben Marr, so the two opted for something a little more extreme. The two decided to try kayaking down a drainage ditch in the small town of Lion’s Bay near Vancouver. As they rode down the ditch they hit a top speed of 45 mph, and ended up experiencing quite a ride. Thankfully, they wore GoPro cameras on their helmets so the entire Internet can ride along. Their video has gone viral with over a quarter million hits already!
