Country music is most known for relaxing river music and square dancing. Most people do not connect country with heavy metal rock music. That’s exactly why musician Rob Scallon merged the banjo with Slayer. This outrageous cover of Raining Blood has gone viral with over 1.5 million views over the week.

Girl Rebukes Modern Country Music With Original Song ‘There’s No Country Here’

As the web has seen, country music has turned into a pop music shadow of itself.

Fifteen year old Melody Williamson isn’t happy with this recent revelation. She misses her good old fashion country that didn’t just sing about trucks and beer, but told a much deeper story about life and love.

To battle the new beast, she made her own original song, There’s No Country Here, to express her disapproval.

Country Pop Music Of 2013 Was All The Same

While making a list of the 10 Best Country Albums of 2013 list, Grady Smith noticed something sinister about most of the more mainstream country music songs.

Like so many other forms of pop music, they all seemed to use the same simple, cheap tactics to entice listeners. He made this video demonstrating just how awful the mainstream country was this year.

Spoiler: Nearly all of the songs are about guys driving trucks and drinking beers who like girls in tight jeans.
