Student Wins Truck Scoring

Drake student Alex Tillinghast was given the chance to win a brand new Ford F-150 truck. All he had to do was sink a layup, a free throw, a three, and a half court shot in 30 seconds. He had a bumpy start, missing the easy layup twice and wasting a lot of precious time. But somehow he pulled through in the clutch scoring his half court shot in one try right before the buzzer!

JP Gibson is only five years old, but for the few years he’s been in this world he has loved sports. As a one year old, he loved to watch sports on TV with his dad, and was playing with a toy basketball hoop at only 15 months old. Sadly, JP was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2012. To give him a moral boost, Utah Jazz allowed him to join their team for a play that he and his parents will remember forever.
