Brother Cellists Cover Purple Haze On America’s Got Talent

Brothers Emil and Dariel have been learning how to play the cello ever since they were four years old. And they’ve had a very special teacher, their Russian grandfather who immigrated to America with nothing but the clothes on his back and his cello.

Now, the two wanted to pay grandpa back for all the years of music lessons by making him proud and performing on America’s Got Talent. The two brothers performed an unexpected rockin’ cover of the Jimi Hendrix classic Purple Haze. They blew away the judges and the audience, and now their performance has gone viral online!

Paul Ieti is a 21 year soldier who just returned from serving in Afghanistan. Fighting in the Middle East is no picnic, so to get through the hard times, Paul’s friends would beg him to sing. His voice has an amazing power to calm frayed nerves. Now, that he’s home, Paul wanted to pursue his dream of singing, so he tried out on America’s Got Talent. The judges were simply stunned by Paul’s powerful cover of Stay by Rihanna.

Frank Sings Frank Sinatra On America’s Got Talent

Frank Dmitri grew up with a stutter, and as a result, never had the courage to pursue his dream of singing. Instead, he worked hard as a bartender until finally retiring at the ripe old age of 69. Now that he has so much time on his hands, Frank has mustered the resolve to finally follow his dreams and sing! 

For his first performance, Frank appropriately sang the Frank Sinatra timeless classic I’ve Got The World On A String on the America’s Got Talent stage, and blew the audience and judges away with his voice. Better late than never indeed!
